Sydney Opera art installation Analysis

This is the Sydney Opera art installation that was made by a group of about 10 people. The piece was made completely from every day materials that you could buy in a normal shop. The reason for making this was to win the chance to be able to travel to australia which is why they chose to make one of Australia's most popular places 'Sydney'.

From looking at the piece you can see that they have used materials such as paper in loads of different colours, paper clips, staples, cardboard, pens, pencils, elastic bands, string, crayons, glue, felt tips, markers, rubbers and tipex which they used to paint the sydney opera house. This work looks like a 3D fantasy of the real place and is very creative and unique. The keywords i would use to associate with this piece would be unique, creative, original, spectacular, and realistic.

Personally i like this piece a lot as it looks realistic and i like the way that they have used normal everyday stationary equipment to create something so complex and amazing. The creativeness that went into this creation is great and it they way it looks imaginary like its a fantasy place really is a nice sight. It makes you feel that when you look at it you want to jump down into it and treat it like a real place and walk around. The face that it was made by a small group of people makes it even more spectacular that with so little people such a big creation could be made and look as good as it does.

I think that when they was making this, their intensions were to make the audience feel like it was a real place and get their senses going to make them feel like they could be in the piece walking around like it is the real version. They succeeded with this made me feel like i was a part of it when looking at it.
